Favorite BARC Event: All of the events are great, but some of the best are: Scottish First Footing, Fright Night’s Haunted House, Gospel Sing, being Santa Claus (Main Street), and Harry Potter Night (Main Street). I love volunteering and creating new events so it is always fun and satisfying after a successful event.

Favorite BARC Moment: The first Scottish First Footing was unbelievable, because in the beginning there were only 5 people at the event and we started to wonder if anyone else would show up. However, when the bagpipes started to play people came from everywhere to join the event. We ended up having 88 people there to receive the blessing for the New Year and it keeps growing every year.

I love Fright Night: A Walk On The Dark Side because I love to chase and scary people. It is always challenging to think of new ways to scary people and new scenes to create.

At In The Park, I enjoyed watching the children scramble for candy during the Candy Drop. The Candy Drop involved a huge helium balloon flying in the air filled with candle and goodies for the children to collect once the balloon was popped.

The Gospel Sings are always a pleasure to watch and hear, because of the beautiful singing by the performers.

The Forest of Needwood Race in 2007 was quiet a wondrous event, because we considered cancelling the race because we had just received the biggest amount of snowfall of the winter. We didn’t think the runners would want to participate because of the snowy, chilly, and windy conditions, but they did! It was amazing to see such a large group of dedicated runners.
